42 deckled edges leaves (84 pages total) of lokta paper, made from the barks of lokta plants that grow on the southern slope of Nepal’s Himalayas between 9,000 and 13,000 feet. The pages are twice as thick as standard pages making it ideal for special projects and thick inks.
The covers are dyed with natural natural ingredients to produce natural coloring.
The journal measures 6 x 9 inches
Lokta bush is not destroyed when harvested, it regrows new shoots that reach full maturity in five years.
Lokta paper has been produced using similar methods for centuries and that tradition continues today. This paper is tree-free, acid-free and is regarded as one of the world’s finest handmade papers.
