Our Yak wool scarves are individually handloomed by the artisans of Kathmandu Valley.  The downy fiber harvested from the Himalayan yaks is very light, warm and soft.  It is softer and durable than Cashmere and warmer than wool. Yaks have different layers in their wool coats. We only use the finest, softest down layer that yaks produce in the middle of bitter winters.  Designed to withstand the freezing cold of the Himalayas, our scarves blend the perfect amount of comfort and ruggedness.  It takes an entire day to weave one scarf using the century old looming methods.
