Individually hand-sewn by the artisans of Nepal, this felt notebook is ideal for journaling, sketching and scrap-booking.
48 clean cut pages (96 pages total) of lokta paper, made from the barks of lokta plants that grow on the southern slope of Nepal’s Himalayas between 9,000 and 13,000 feet. The pages are twice as thick as standard pages making it ideal for special projects and thick inks.
The journal’s cover is dyed with sap from cutch wood to produce rich rustic brown coloring.
The journal comes in two different sizes ;5.5 x 8.5 inches and 8.5 X 11 inches to capture your adventures.
Lokta bush is not destroyed when harvested, it regrows new shoots that reach full maturity in five years.
Lokta paper has been produced using similar methods for centuries and that tradition continues today. This paper is tree-free, acid-free and is regarded as one of the world’s finest handmade papers.
